I’m the lead engineer at Ryse Software in Tupelo, Mississippi. Most days I’m building CRMs, ERPs, and internal tools for companies that have outgrown their spreadsheets.

Work

Lonos

Lonos is a lending platform for CDFIs and other mission-driven lenders. CRM, loan origination, underwriting, coaching, and impact reporting all live in one system. I created it at Ryse.

Community lenders spend real time coaching the people they lend to, and most loan software has nowhere to put that work. Lonos logs it as it happens, so the numbers are already there when a funder asks.

BrandFront

BrandFront is a reputation platform that agencies sell under their own name. It pulls in reviews from 16 sites, drafts replies with AI, and gives each client a portal and a monthly report with the agency’s logo on it.

If you want to build on top of it, there’s a REST API, webhooks, and an MCP server.

Ryse & Reign

Ryse & Reign is a card game that runs in the browser. We built it at Ryse because we wanted to.

Under the hood it’s Phaser and TypeScript, and the board scales to whatever screen it’s on, phones included.

Ryse Software

Ryse is the software side of Vitality South, a marketing agency here in Tupelo. I lead the engineering.

Our clients are businesses whose work doesn’t fit off-the-shelf tools. We build their field and dispatch apps, client portals, and dashboards, and we write the integrations that get all of it talking. Most of that work stays private.

MusicTheoryJS

MusicTheoryJS gives JavaScript a working knowledge of music. Hand it a chord symbol like F#m7b5 and it returns the notes. Hand it a MIDI file and it finds the key, labels each chord with its Roman numeral, and marks the cadences.

It works in the other direction too. Write a progression as Roman numerals and it voices the chords so each one moves as little as possible from the last, then writes the result out as a MIDI file. It also reads and writes MusicXML, pulls melodies out of recorded audio, and handles tunings most music software can’t, from just intonation to maqam.

How I work

I taught myself to program as a kid, mostly to make games, and I’ve been building things for people ever since. I’m a product person first. I want to make software people look forward to opening.

Before software I was a photographer and a painter, and for a long time I wanted to do concept art for films and games. I still play a little guitar.

I think you get ahead by helping other people get ahead, and that’s most of my job at Ryse: building software that helps other businesses grow. And I don’t cut corners where nobody’s looking. How you do anything is how you do everything.
